Online Meeting for SOHO Solo west Cork in January

The Celtic Ross is closed in January, which means SOHO Solo West Cork is homeless!
Of course, that’s the perfect excuse for testing out the potential of online meetings, so for our January meeting we’re heading into cyberspace to vyew.com or dimdim.com (still trying to decide which – will send invites out to registered attendees early next week). We’ll explore some of the benefits of online meetings for SOHO Solos by actually using the features available.
Topics will include the usual "round table" intros — text, voice and (for the brave) video; a short presentation / overview by Calvin Jones looking at the basic features of the chosen service, followed by a step-by-step screen-cast on how to register and post/contribute to the SOHO Solo West Cork blog.
After that we’ll get all collaborative, working together to draft a list of potential speakers/topics for our 2009 meetings.
Places are limited to 20 (the limit for the free basic accounts on both Vyew and DimDim, and more than adequate for most SOHO Solos) — so please register by leaving a comment below, or dropping me a line via the contact form to secure your invitation.
